Ford EcoSport -Compact SUV for India


Ford EcoSport  is expected to be launched in India in June, 2013. Ford EcoSport was designed to combine best-in-class design, technology, quality and safety aimed at attracting a new generation of consumers in different global markets. The compact SUV  is to be offered in India with three engine options, 1.0L EcoBoost petrol, 1.5L petrol and 1.5L diesel .EcoSport will be offered in a choice of 4 trims, Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium Optional (or Titanium+). 
                -It features 200mm of ground clearance, 550mm water wading capability.
                -Four trims with three engine options
                -manual and automatic transmissions with the petrol version of the car 
                -1.0L EcoBoost engine which is very fuel efficient and powerful, consumes 20% less
                  fuel.
                -Voice enabled interactive system known as SYNC(powered by Microsoft) lets you to 
                 connect your USB and Bletooth device to recieve calls and play songs and the ESP.

The compact SUV will be a 5-seater with a pillar-less C-pillar.EcoSport Ambiente will not feature safety features like ABS and airbags.The diesel engine of the Ford EcoSport will undoubtedly be the all new Fiesta’s motor, which is a 1.5-liter unit producing 90 BHP of power and 204 Nm of torque .Other noticeable features include automatic air conditioning system, Microsoft SYNC, 16″ alloys, park assist and chrome fittings 
Expected price of Ecosport is Rs. 9,00,000/-.

    It can thrash the ongoing success of Renault Duster in a big way and its booking has already crossed a good mark.Overall,it looks more stunning than Duster.
